It is kind of intereting though that the panel removes so easily. You'd think it would be designed a little better. Also there appears to be no good reason that GM doesn't offer some kind of open roof option on the Z06!!
I'm still waiting for a ragtop A/T Z06!

The Body flex is too much from the new Z to offer the open roof option !

At least there is a good "MAG" insert to "make rigid" the whole car!

For reasons I can't explain, that video got under my skin. I suppose it relates to the fact that I waited 28 years for my first Corvette, and I love them like I do. It made me mad to see what he did...no respect and total disregard for the icon that he besmirched.

Well, here's what happened, and why.
It makes a lot of sense, and I can't say I wouldn't have done the same.

Gentlemen, I'm the owner and here are the facts.... Roof started flapping on one side in July. Took it to the dealership and they tried the foam fix with no luck. Said they had to order a new roof. I'm like tape it up and give it back to me I'm not leaving my car the whole time. In the attempt to fix the roof they removed the headliner and a few other interior pieces. All that was above my head was a taped on piece of black plastic. A week later I went on a run with a few cars at ohh well slightly higher than average highway speeds. The masking tape was not happy. Due to earlier circumstances the group was divided into two on the highway. My passenger and I had to hold down the roof with our hands even at very slow speeds. I decided to pull over and deal with the problem so that the car would be safe and I could get back up to speed.
