Amazing Find!!!! 1954 vette with 27k orig miles...
Hi Folks -
This is going to sound like a tall tale - but it's true and I took pictures for proof. A local lady bought a house in a tax sale for $3200. She inspected the inside of the house and it was full of antique furniture etc. She also found a bunch of human skulls, and thus the story made big news. It was later determined that the skulls were American Indian artifacts and that the previous owner of the house had them legally as a collector. The previous owner had been a affluent dentist. He and his wife passed away and left the property to his only child - a son. The son was apparently not very ambitious and never lived in the house or otherwise maintained it. The son was killed in a mysterious fire at a cabin at land he owned outside of town. With no living heirs, the house was eventually sold for the back taxes. Ok - here is what you have been waiting for - the property had a detached garage and there was reportedly and old car in the garage - make and year unknown. It turns out is was a 1954 Corvette, all original, and all there. Incredible. Only 27k miles on the odometer, and except for period replacement tires, ther car is 100% original. My father is in CORSA, and one of the CORSA guys is a "goto" guy for local restoration efforts. Being good friends with my father, the gentleman invited me over today to view this magnificent find - and of course I took my omnipresent camera so I could share pics with my friends here at the valley first. The car was sold at auction to the current owner for $27,500 in as-is condition and my CORSA friend has been charged with getting it running. Ok - here are a couple of pictures of the car - Now I kinda know how the Parrot felt when he found the basement babies! best regards - mqqn

Steering wheel has been repainter or replaced, I see RED and it should be Blue and Tan. Red and White were for the polo white cars and the Sportsman Red cars.
