Red with red interior, both tops, L75 327/300 matching number motor, 4 speed. Front and rear suspension have been rebuilt along with the four wheel drum brakes. The interior is all original and in great shape. Solid birdcage, frame has some rust in the kickups, but is still solid. This is a great running driver with the original motor. $32,000.

The hood is by a previous owner...this is not an NCRS correct car, but it is a great driver that is mostly original with the exception of the hood and sidepipes.

Hey 64vert, I wasn’t trying to pic on you 64, but with a gem like yours, I would try to find a 64 hood...:thumb:

PS keep the sidepipes...:party1:

and go check out my valley gallery pics...

While I was growing up I used to constantly pass a house where a guy owned a silver 65 coupe. I always wanted that car and even asked a couple times if he wanted to sell it, but it never happened. I recently came across a car that reminds me of that one and decided that I was going to buy it...but I need to sell this one first.

Not yet, hopefully it will be home in the next couple weeks. This is a difficult time of year to have a car transported from the great plains states. :bang:

Not yet, the car is in Montana, which most transport companies consider a remote location anyway, add the weather on top of that....and it is taking longer than I hoped it would.

Here it is, I have a lot of work to do on it, but it is a nice solid, original L79 coupe:

That's what I'm talking about!! Are you going to keep it original or hop it up with some new stuff and keep the original stuff in the garage? Is the current interior original or replacement?

For the most part, it looks like some deep cleaning will do the trick!

Nice find!

64vert
12-28-2010, 05:32 PM
It will stay all original, the interior is original except for the carpet. I have new seat covers, carpet, headliner, etc...just need to install it. You are correct, a good cleaning and some TLC will make it a nice driver. I'm not ready for the full frame off yet....

I worked on those cars for years, that car is nice, the drivers top at the needs some ajustment. The door has a steel frame and sometimes they get bent. I use to put a block of wood in the door jam and bend it back........every other panel is very good.
